EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Nikki is an intern counselor pursuing her Master’s in Social Work (Clinical) at UBC, with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Northern BC. She has 1.5 years of experience as a mental health and substance use clinician for Northern Health, supporting youth and young adults with anxiety, OCD, depression, self-injury, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and schizophrenia. She has also worked with neurodiverse clients (ASD, ADHD) and at a Women’s Transition House, providing emotional and practical support to women fleeing domestic violence.

FOCUS

Nikki’s practice centers on supporting young adults aged 19 to 24 as they navigate the transition to adulthood. She engages clients with a warm, welcoming, and collaborative approach, emphasizing safety and trust. Nikki believes in a holistic, individualized method that acknowledges each person’s unique identity and lived experience. Using a person-centered approach, she helps clients identify goals and take steps toward personal growth. Her primary modalities are:
