EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Yaser is an Intern Counsellor pursuing his master’s in counselling psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University, with a Bachelor of Law from the University of Sussex in England where he is originally from. Yaser has in interest in helping people with their mental health and has. His interests are in anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome and trauma in children and young adults.
FOCUS
Yaser’s practice centers on supporting children, youth, young adults, adults and their families in helping them with their mental health. He has a warm tone, is welcoming in his disposition, and uses a person-centred approach to influence change in helping clients feel better as well as making goals to pursue more positive outcomes in his clients’ life. Yaser also works well with culturally diverse populations. His goal is to motivate his clients to feel happier on the inside through a variety of modalities:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Motivational Interviewing
- Person-Centred Therapy
- Trauma-Informed Care
